Update: you can!
This is a several-step kind of tutorial, and you’ll need a few tools:
- A text editor
- An FTP client
- SSH access to your site (driver’s license or similar is required for this on bluehost, contact them for more info)
- Unison
- as well as one of the precompiled Linux binaries for bluehost
- Lingon (if you want to automate the syncing, which I wouldn’t recommend for reasons given later)
- PuTTY if you’re on Windows. I did not test this with Windows at all, but most of the steps should be similar.
Once you have all the tools, proceed to Step One.
